Dan O’Riley, AIA, is an Associate Director and Senior Designer in SOM’s Chicago office, where he leads a design studio working primarily on healthcare, high-rise, and large scale mixed-use projects. Dan specializes in leading design strategies for multi-disciplinary teams working on programmatically complex projects. He is responsible for the execution of the project vision through all phases of design, including the facilitation of user engagement groups, design refinement, and project delivery.

Lucas Tryggestad is Technical Director in the Chicago office of SOM, where he aligns project design concepts with technical solutions that are integral to the design process. With a portfolio that includes projects in the Chicago area and around the world, Tryggestad specializes in designing and realizing technically complex building systems. Interested in the craft of architecture, digital design, and quality project delivery, Tryggestad is involved in projects from conceptual development to execution.
